Draft Season is in full effect for Indianapolis Colts' fans, as the Senior Bowl kicked off this week. He showed off his ability to attack the entire field in team and in seven on sevens, and he didn't have too many mi ses overall. In an underwhelming day overall for all these quarterbacks, Howell stood above the rest.Honorable Mention: Kenny Pickett, PittRachaad White, Arizona StateOne of my favorite players on film coming into the week certainly impre sed on day one. He was by far and away the smoothest pa s catcher in the group, and displayed excellent vision and patience in the team portion of the practice. White is an underrated prospect in this cla s and he certainly did a lot to Laurent Brossoit Jersey improve his stock on day one. If he can break off more runs like this one below this week, I fully expect him to keep climbing in this running back cla s. Honorable Mention: ZaQuandre White, South CarolinaAlec Pierce, Cincinnati To me, on film, the best receiver making the trip to Mobile this week was Alec Pierce. His blend of twitch, size, and strength reminds me a lot of Michael Pittman Jr as a prospect. Pierce's route running was on a different level than most of the other receivers. He was precise with his steps and knew how to create separation at a different level than the other players. Pierce is an outstanding prospect in this cla s that is only going to keep rising throughout the proce s.Honorable Mention: Jalen Tolbert, South Alabama Jeremy Ruckert, Ohio StateWhile I wanted to go with a player that is more under-the-radar, Ruckert was by far and away the most impre sive tight end on day one. He looked extremely fluid running routes and his impre sive size and length was enough to make catches look easy. In a cla s without a true top tight end, at the moment, Ruckert can continue to separate himself with a great week of practice. From just one day of practice, he looks like the tight end that is most primed to be a TE1 in the NFL.Honorable Mention: Daniel Bellinger, San Diego StateDylan Parham, MemphisScroll to ContinueNo player improved his stock more yesterday than Memphis IOL Dylan Parham. He is simply a different Nail Yakupov Jersey level of athlete than the rest of the players at this event, and he showcased some excellent ability on the interior. He flashed great hands and footwork in his one on ones and looked like the most advanced player in a strong group of players. After already coming in at over 300 pounds on his weigh-ins, Parham is having a near-perfect week so far.Honorable Mention: Cole Strange, ChattanoogaTravis Jones, UConnThe defensive lineman that really helped himself the most on day one was Travis Jones. He wasn't extremely nuanced or fluid on the interior, but he was simply rocking every player he faced. He showcased powerful hands and an insane leg drive that took even the best guards at this event for a ride. As a little known player making his way to a huge event like this, Jones is doing everything he can to leave this week as a major riser.Honorable Mention: Jermaine Johnson, Florida StateDamone Clark, LSULinebackers overall had a fairly underwhelming day, but Clark caught my eye on more than a few occasions. He looked fast and energetic in team drills and held his own in the coverage portion of one on ones. I was mostly impre sed with how he fit the run in the team section of the day. Ryan Smyth Jersey He crashed downhill with great speed and was borderline reckle s with his willingne s to take on lead blocks. For a player that I was unfamiliar with coming into the event, he is slowly making a fan out of me.Honorable Mention: Darrin Beavers, CincinnatiRoger McCreary, AuburnArguably the top player at the event, McCreary had himself a monster day one. He is just on another level when it comes to technique and poise at the cornerback position, and that showed in the first day of practices. He rarely lost in one on ones and was a player that couldn't be tested in the team section of the drills. McCreary may have measured in as a bit on the smaller side, but he is continually proving that he is a top tier player down in Mobile.Honorable Mention: Coby Bryant, CincinnatiJalen Pitre, BaylorIt was a fairly unmemorable day for the safeties, but Jalen Pitre looked like an absolute star. His ball skills combined with how willing he is to come down from his deep position make him such a good prospect in this cla s. He had a few highlight plays in the one on ones and battled with the best that this cla s has to offer. While he was already a big name coming down here, Pitre is really standing out Jonas Gustavsson Jersey among this safety group.Honorable Mention: Kerby Joseph, Illinois

The Atlanta Falcons have ruled out running back Cordarrelle Patterson for Thursday night's game against the New England Patriots.Patterson, along with wide receiver Christian Blake, cornerback Marcus Morris Jersey Kendall Sheffield, safety Jaylinn Hawkins, and defensive linemen John Cominsky, Marlon Davidson and Tyeler Davison, will be inactive in Week 11.Patterson was limited in practice this week due to an ankle injury. Coach Arthur Smith labeled him a game-time decision Wednesday. Although his status during the week, he will not play.The lo s of Patterson is enormous, as he does a lot more than just touch the ball out of the backfield. Patterson also plays wide receiver and has a major role on special teams as both a returner and cover man.Patterson leads the Falcons in several key offensive categories, including yards from scrimmage, offensive touches, yards per touch and touchdowns. He is averaging 116 yards from scrimmage per game and has scored seven touchdowns. No other Falcons weapon has more than four.Without Patterson, Atlanta will have to rely on Mike Davis Ersan Ilyasova Jersey and Wayne Gallman in the backfield. Last year was a good one as the pa ser rating against him when targeted was only 79.4.IDL Jarran Reed The former Seattle second-round pick has started every game the past two seasons and is a very solid run defender with some pa s-rushing ability.WR D.J. Chark Chark was seen as a rising star after he Joe Thornton Jersey made the Pro Bowl in his second season in 2019, but injuries have slowed him the past two seasons, particularly a broken ankle that cut short in his 2021 campaign after four games. But he might be worth a flier at the right price.G Andrew Norwell If the Dolphins want a veteran presence on the offensive line, they could do worse than Norwell, who has 111 career starts and one Pro Bowl on his resume.T Cam Robinson The Jaguars used the franchise tag on Robinson last offseason and it will be cost-prohibitive to do it again. Robinson has developed into a solid, if not elite, left tackle.

With his first season as general manager in the books, Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes is making his rounds as he prepares for the offseason. On Friday morning, Holmes joined Michael Stone and Jon Jansen, co-hosts of the Stoney and Jansen with Heather show on , for an interview just ahead of next week's Senior Bowl.Several topics were touched upon, ranging from free agency and Matthew Stafford, to his review of Trinity Benson's first season in Motown.Holmes reiterated the team is currently entering the player acquisition phase of the offseason. Naturally, one of the topics was the performance of first-year Lions quarterback Curtis Granderson Jersey Jared Goff.Acquired last offseason in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Matthew Stafford, Goff finished the 2021 season with 3,245 pa sing yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Holmes made no a surances about Goffs long-term future, but offered his outlook on the quarterback heading into 2022.Jared is gonna be just like any other player on our roster, where hes gonna have to continue to prove himself, which I have faith that he will. I say it again, for the entire organization, Jared, myself, Dan, our rookie cla s, we all made strides in being part of laying our foundation. It all goes back to being better this year than you were last year. Happy for Jared on how he ended the season. The team has dealt with numerous losing seasons and starved for a playoff win, and now Holmes and company are the next in line to try and break the sour spell. In his first season at the helm, Holmes said he learned plenty about patience while running the show. You know, really, the biggest thing I learned is patience, Holmes said. Thats really, sticking to your plan, believing in your plan. Dan and I are aligned in our vision, our plan. Thats the biggest thing that I learned. When things got murky, when that adversity hit, youre really pushed to not be patient and kind of deviate from your plan. But, its great to have the support from ownership, unwavering support and belief and patience. Just sticking to our plan, and we came out better than that. So, really, heading into year two, and Ive said it before were kind of entering the player acquisition phase. Were gonna continue to stick to our plan, Toronto Blue Jays Hoodie because it is a multi-year plan. And, were gonna continue to develop our program, where this city can be proud of, and were in the proce s of growth. When asked what the main area for offseason improvement is, Holmes took a wide-ranging approach. He wants everyone in the organization to improve, with the hope that the improvements will lead to more wins on Sundays in 2022.I dont think you can point to any single area, Holmes said. Again, I dont want to sound like a broken record Im going back to. When you only win three games, you have a lot of areas. I think we can get better everywhere and not even just the players. I think everyone can get better. That proce s has already started. Whether its the roster, myself to be better, which I have full confidence Dan will be better. This entire organization will be better. Our rookie cla s, how they played, they will be better. Theres a lot of areas that we will improve upon. But, at the end of the day, were going to be so much better. Evaluating Trinity Benson tradeHolmes made an interesting move following the preseason, trading a Kevin Pillar Jersey 2022 fifth-round pick along with a 2022 conditional seventh-rounder in exchange for Denver Broncos wide receiver Trinity Benson. Though the addition was somewhat hyped, Benson spent most of his season on the sidelines. He played in just eight games, catching a measly 10 pa ses Joe Carter Jersey for 103 yards.Looking back on the move, Holmes said the plan for Benson was to develop, with the intention of him playing in the future. When we acquired Trinity, we knew that he had a lot of upside, but we knew that he was a developmental player that was raw, Holmes said. Knowing that he was young, the intent on Trinity was not 2021. It wasnt like, if he could contribute, great. If he needed a little bit more time to learn a new system coming in late, then thats what hell do. But, Trinity will be in a position to compete this offseason and going into 2022 for the season. Thats how we view Trinity, hes a developmental prospect.
